Kliimamuutused.ee will educate the readers about our environment – how we change the climate, and how the climate changes us.
The site focuses on the global changes in climate that started with the industrial revolution in the 1880’s, and that researchers admit is mostly caused by human activity. Our actions, especially the greenhouse gases we emit, have raised the global average temperature by 1°C, which in turn initiates massive changes around the globe. This is why we use the plural term ’climate changes’ (kliimamuutused).

The Climate Changes website has been created as part of the project „Climate change and Estonian energy policies: created a structured dialogue on future scenarios,“ supported by the European Climate Initiative EUKI. EUKI is a greenhouse gas decreasing initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
